New podcast episode: Texas Country Reporter
In this week's episode of Neighborhood Matters, I talk with J.B. Sauceda, host of Texas Country Reporter, the oldest independently produced TV show in the U.S. The show about "ordinary Texans doing extraordinary things," was purchased a few years ago by Texas Monthly and has a gained a significantly following online. Among the other things JB and I discussed:
- Why I hate Smart TVs
- The loss of local media in small towns (and what has replaced it)
- How much freedom should a parent let their kid have in Austin?
- Are today's kids really more depressed than we were?
It was only in the past week that I realized that YouTube is actually the biggest platform for listening to podcasts – even audio-only – so I will start posting them on my channel there as well. Please follow the channel!
