No money for housing in this year's bond?
And will there be a bond at all?
Is City Council so rattled by the resounding defeat of Prop Q that it will give up on building new affordable housing?
Mayor Kirk Watson recently suggested that a long-planned 2026 bond for transportation, housing, parks and other infrastructure might not happen after all. Council Member Krista Laine, who represents one of the city's more conservative districts, has also said she is open to a no-bond scenario.

Arguably even weirder is that when the city manager's office recently put out its "initial recommendation" for a $700 million bond program, it included $0 for affordable housing.
