Private school vs Tarrytown
Littlefield Tacos and Coffee, just west of Mopac on Winsted & Windsor in Tarrytown. This was three years ago. I remember noting how many cars were parked in the neighborhood.

Traditionally a group of 25 Tarrytown residents is a pretty powerful political force. But at last night's meeting of the Planning Commission they met their match: dozens of parents and kids who attend the Girls School of Austin, which is seeking a city permit to expand enrollment from 150 to 200 at its campus at the corner of McCall & Windsor Rds.

"I feel like the cards are stacked against us," said one of those opposing the permit, following remarks from parents, teachers and a number of earnest tweens describing the positive effect of their school. "We're just neighbors, we don't have paid advocates."

They did, however, have big yellow stickers, "Neighbors for SAFE STREETS," and some were accompanied by their own adorable children.
