The sorry state of the corridors
& a right-wing academic misleads on Austin homelessness.
Last week the Urban Transportation Commission got an update on the progress of the corridor improvement program from the 2016 mobility bond.
If you're old enough to remember, the 2016 "Go Big" mobility bond was the big thing for Mayor Steve Adler's first term. Here's a triumphant tweet of his, no doubt authored by his then-comms guy Jason Stanford, after Council voted unanimously to put the $720M package on the ballot:

Go Big was made up mostly of run-of-the-mill car infrastructure but it made a bigger gesture towards multi-modal transportation than any previous bond.
