License plate readers again
Could they replace cops?
The Austin Police Association and others argue that a recent crosstown shooting spree that injured four could have been stopped earlier if APD still had access to license plate readers that City Council ditched last year.
The Manor Police Department says that LPRs helped it identify and arrest the teen suspects.
