Another year for the Marshalling Yard shelter

The Marshalling Yard, the city-owned warehouse in Southeast Austin that has since last summer served as a homeless shelter, will continue to operate as such until at least next March.

And let's be honest: even though it was originally pitched as a temporary solution, the Marshaling Yard will likely continue to operate as a shelter long after March unless the city can find an alternative site of comparable capacity (300 beds).
