Wanted: transit watchdogs
Transit riders need solidarity too.
On Monday Council Member Zo Qadri, a member of the Cap Metro Board, showed up in support of transit employees in contract negotiations with Keolis, the French company that CM contracts with to run its operations.
I’m proud to have stood with ATU members today.

As a CapMetro board member, I’ll continue fighting for negotiations in good faith; together we can deliver the fair contract these workers have earned. pic.twitter.com/4wJerjhnDP
That's cool. But showing up at a rally is easy. What I want to know is how Qadri and the rest of Cap Metro's largely disengaged board plan to do about declining Cap Metro ridership. Especially since Cap Metro says it can't allocate more money to the Keolis contract without reducing service.
