Where's Watson?
And what's up with these encampments?
The latest mailer for Prop Q features Congressman Greg Casar and Council Member Vanessa Fuentes on one side and Mayor Kirk Watson on the other:
It's somewhat surprising to me given how quiet Watson has been on Prop Q since voting to set the tax rat election in August. Besides donating a relatively small ($20,000) amount from his own campaign, he's been nowhere to be seen.
He was not one of the dignitaries trotted out at the campaign launch. In retrospect I wonder if the campaign's bizarre claim that the city attorney had advised against city officials attending the rally was an excuse concocted to justify the mayor's absence.
