Will Paige Ellis get the signatures?

On June 13 a firm working for Paige Ellis's campaign began hiring canvassers to gather the roughly 3,500 signatures she needs to run for a third term.
City Council members are limited to two four-year terms unless they get signatures from 5% of the voters in their district. The deadline to submit them is Aug. 17, the last day to file an application to be on the ballot. The signatures must have all been gathered in the prior six months.

The Ellis campaign has hired Jim Wick and Laura Hernandez, a veteran campaign duo, to run the operation. Ellis's husband, Ed Espinoza, is also a longtime politico who has been deeply involved in both of her prior campaigns.
