Fundraising shows two serious candidates in Southwest Austin Council race
It looks like we got a real race here in Southwest Austin. Both incumbent Council Member Paige Ellis and challenger Selena Xie reported strong fundraising more than a year before the election.
Ellis raised $53,378 and lent her campaign an additional $25k, leaving her with roughly $71k on hand.
Xie raised $35,970 and loaned herself $25k. She has roughly $58k in the bank.
